Sub Zero Refrigerators

Thanks for visiting us today.  We’ll do our best to help you make an informed decision on which sub zero refrigerator you would like to buy.  We will mostly be talking about sub zero refrigerators, however we will talk about other brands later.

Sub zero refrigerators were first made in 1950.  The company was started by Wesley F. Bakke in the town of Madison, Wisconsin.  Later on they bought out the Wolf Range Corporation, this gave them access to professional style ranges, grills, and cook tops for both home and commercial use.

There are many types of sub zero refrigerators.  They have built-in, integrated, wine storage, and under the counter variety.  We will go over several of these products to help make your decision process easier.

Built-in

The Sub-Zero Bi-36U has recently been redesigned.  It has a door above and a freezer below.  It also has an ice maker, uses less energy than 100 watt light bulb, has an air purification system, and also a water filtration system.  Another cool feature it has is the Max ice feature, this feature produces ice 40% faster in a 24 hour period.

The BI-36R is all refrigerator.  It has an annual energy usage of 505 kilo watts per hour and is Sabbath and holiday compliant.  This refrigerator has an air purification system, adjustable spill proof glass shelf, crisper and deli drawers which make a special low temperature zone.  This model is also energy star qualified and distributes light evenly.

Pro 48 Refrigeration

There are two models in this class one with the glass door and one without.  The first one we will talk about is the one without a glass door.  It comes in classic stainless steel and has a refrigerator and freezer.  This refrigerator has an automatic ice maker, a water filter, drawers with adjustable dividers, and has dual refrigeration.  These are just some of the prime features.

The refrigerator with a glass door has all the above features plus exterior temperature displays with digital readouts.  Two has also energy and client, is Star-K kosher certified as Sabbath and holiday compliant.

Wine Storage

The Sub-Zero 424 wine storage model, can store up to 46 bottles.  Like its larger counterparts, it has two temperature zones, which precisely control the temperature by a microprocessor.  It features a service like indicator, Rollerblade shells that have natural cherry wood extensions that give easy access to your wine.  Sturdy, rust proof shelfs to accommodate 750 ml bottles, magnum bottles, and half bottles.  The temperature range is 38° F 265 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 424 freestanding wine storage has five shelfs and a 46 bottle capacity.  You can put this on a top surface within arm’s reach without worrying about building a unit into a cabinet.  This model features soft glow voltage lighting, individual temperature controls, and an ideal humidity environments.  A solid door can also be ordered for this unit.

Integrated Refrigeration

The Sub-Zero 736 TCI refrigerator and freezer combo can be used anywhere in the home.  Merging seamlessly into the decore, it gives no visible hinges or grills.  It has an upper cabinet refrigerator, with the freezer on the bottom.  The refrigerator has a capacity of 13.5 cubic feet, and a freezer capacity of 6.9 cubic feet.  This model meet strict department of energy requirements, a dual refrigeration system, and electronic controls which are on the front and easy to see.

The Sub-Zero 736 TR all refrigerator is 36 inches wide, hs crisper drawers, and two distinct temperature zones.  It features electronic digital controls that are easy to use, a door alarm that lets you know if a door or drawer is left open, and a removable crisper cover that can be used in either storage drawer.
